      Am 12. August wird in Russland der Tag der Luftstreitkräfte begangen. An diesem Tag wurde im Jahr 1912 der Erlass zur Bildung der Abteilung für Luftfahrt bei der Hauptverwaltung des Generalstabs veröffentlicht – und damit faktisch zur Gründung der russischen Fliegerkräfte.
